What Is SeneGence International About?
SeneGence International is a privately owned MLM company based in the United States that specializes in the beauty cosmetics market.
SeneGence derives its name from the terms “senescence,” which refers to the aging process, and “intelligence,” which refers to the ability to acquire and apply knowledge.
Who Is Joni Rogers Kante?
Joni Rogers-Kante founded the company in 1999 and still is its CEO to this day.
Joni first became acquainted with the direct sales and multi-level marketing business models while working as a Mary Kay distributor.
She is believed to have quickly risen to the top position as a distributor.
She soon envisioned owning her own cosmetics company that would sell high-quality items while offering its distributors a compensation structure that would pay them well.
Joni met someone back in 1998 who knows a chemist who was working on a lip color product called “Ultralux.”
Ultralux Was Exactly The Type Of High-Quality Product That Joni Wanted.
Joni visited the chemist a few months later. She tried on the lip color herself and fell in love with it right away. She agreed to do business with him right then and there.
Joni began selling Ultralux from her home, raised some funds, and SeneGence was born exactly a year later. The product underwent some rebranding and eventually became Lipsense, a SeneGence product line.
It later branched out into skincare, anti-aging, and personal care.
Joni has also written the book “Million Dollar Lips: A Journey Into the Hearts and Minds of Women in Business.”

SeneGence International develops and sells a diverse range of cosmetics in the six categories listed below:

SeneGence claims its products to be:
- Are not tested on animals
- There are no animal by-products.
- Made up of natural ingredients
- They are made from FDA-approved ingredients
- Are cGMP-compliant
- Are manufactured in the United States for strict quality control
- They are mostly GMO-free and gluten-free, and contain no lead or wax.
SeneGence’s flagship and most popular product is LipSense Liquid Lip Color.
It is also their debut product.
According to SeneGence, LipSense has several advantages that most commercial lipsticks do not have, including:
- Long-lasting
- Waterproof
- Doesn’t kiss off nor smear off
- It doesn’t budge off nor rub off
- Doesn’t dry out your lips.
Based on few LipSense YouTube reviews posted by people who stated that they were neither SeneGence Distributors nor endorsing the product, it appears that LipSense truly provides all of the benefits that they advertise.
LipSense appeared to be “stickier” than regular lipstick, which was a common concern.
LipSense costs $25 for 0.25 oz.
According to the majority of reviews found online, LipSense is worth the money.
The remaining SeneGence products are simply too many to mention, so they are not included here for obvious reasons.
SeneGence’s Distributor Compensation Plan
Most multi-level marketing companies have compensation plans that are so complicated that simply understanding the first line feels like it would take a rocket scientist.
SeneGence’s compensation plan is pretty much the same.
Regardless, we’ll do our best to make it as simple as possible.
SeneGence pays its members in five different ways:
- Retail Profits (Product sales)
- Downline Commission Bonus
- Group Sales Volume Bonus
- Incentive Trips
- SeneCar
1. Retail Profits
You can buy SeneGence products at a lower wholesale price and sell them at a higher retail price as a SeneGence Distributor.
The Retail Profit pays you for the difference in wholesale and retail prices you paid for it.
The overall PV you create in a month determines the wholesale discount you’ll receive.
- 0 – 99.5 PV = 20% discount
- 100 – 299.5 PV = 30% discount
- 300 – 749.5 PV = 40% discount
- 750+ PV = 50% discount
PV (Point Value) = 1/2 of a product’s retail value per $1.
2. Downline Commission Bonus
You get a percentage of whatever your first 100 PV Distributors in your downline produce in a month through the uni-level structure and up to five levels deep.
- 1st Line = Personally recruited distributors
- 2nd Line = Recruits of your 1st Line Distributors
- 3rd Line = Recruits of your 2nd Line Distributors
- And so on…
To be eligible for the Downline Commission Bonus through your first three lines, you must have ordered a total of 100 PV in the same calendar month.
You will receive the following if you do this:
- 10% of the PV of your 1st Line
- 20% of the PV of your 2nd Line
- 30% of the PV of your 3rd Line
To receive the Downline Commission Bonus through your fourth Line, you must meet the following criteria:
- In the same calendar month, place a 200 PV order
- Have 5 or more distributors placing an order of 100+ PV each on your 1st Line
- On your first three lines, generate at least 10,000 PV.
The fourth line compensation is 5% of the total PV produced.
You have to complete the following requirements in order to obtain the Downline Commission Bonus via your fifth and last lines:
- Order 200 PV worth of products in the same calendar month.
- Obtain at least five Distributors from your 1st line, each with a PV order of 100 or more.
- Produce a minimum of 15.000 PV from your first three lines.
The fifth Line is also rewarded with 5% of the PV earned.
It is important to remember that the Downline Commission Bonus pays you a portion of the monthly revenue generated by the first 100 PV Distributors in your downline.
Any additional PV earned is compensated through the Group Sales Volume Bonus.
This alone will probably make you high tail it away from this MLM. No one likes recruiting. Literally no one.
3. Group Sales Volume Bonus
The Group Sales Volume Bonus pays you a percentage of net PV after the first 100 PV Distributors in your downline produce in a month through a uni-level structure that goes up to 5 levels deep.
The following are the requirements for earning the Group Sales Volume Bonus at each Level:
1st Line – 10% Of PV:
- Place an order amounting to 100 PV orders during a calendar month.
2nd Line – 6% Of PV:
- During a calendar month, place an order worth 300 PV.
- Get at least five Distributors on your first line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 2nd Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
3rd Line – 4% Of PV:
- During a calendar month, place an order worth 300 PV.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 1st line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 2nd Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 3rd line, each with a 300+ PV order.
4th Line – 3% Of PV:
- During a calendar month, place an order worth 300 PV.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 1st Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 2nd Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 3rd Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 4th Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
5th Line – 2% Of PV:
- During a calendar month, place an order worth 300 PV.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 1st Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 2nd Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 3rd line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 4th Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
- Get at least five Distributors on your 5th Line, each with a 300+ PV order.
4. Incentive Trips
SeneGence organizes promotional tours, contests, and conferences for its Distributors all over the world each year.
Each year, the criteria for participation are announced on SeneGence’s official website.
5. SeneCar
SeneGence reimburses you for a portion or cost of your new automobile leasing installments, depending on the model and your performance.
How To Join SeneGence
To become a SeneGence distributor, you must first pay a $55 registration fee through their official Website.
This includes both your marketing tools and your training program. The registration fee, however, does not have any of their products.
SeneGence Distributors will receive a 20% to 50% discount on the retail price of the products.
Furthermore, you may be eligible for commissions, bonuses, and other perks such as a car allowance as part of the compensation package.
You must first obtain a distributor pack before you can begin selling.
The first two kits are the Fast Start Pack and the Significant SeneSeller Kit.
1. Fast Start Pack
This option includes nearly $3,500 in merchandise at retail prices. This box costs $1,195, a savings of more than 65%.
2. Significant $Ene$Eller Pack
This package has a retail value of about $1,830 and is currently available for $795, saving more than 55%.
SeneGence also offers customized websites and, just for an additional fee, will deliver orders immediately.
The distributor will receive commissions and bonuses as a result of this.
Fast Start Program
As with other MLM companies, the goal is to get started expanding your business as soon as possible.
To reward fast starters, SeneGence offers a Fast Start Distributor Training Package.
The goal is to increase sales in the first 90 days of being a distributor.
Here’s a rundown of what SeneGence has in store for customers who get their business up and running in the first 30, 30, 90 days (in PV or Point Value).
- In the first 30 Days –If you order 1000 PV, you’ll get a bonus stock worth $350.
- In the first 60 Days – Place additional 1000 PV orders and earn a $400 bonus stock.
- In the first 90 days –Place additional 1000 PV orders and earn a $450 bonus stock.
If all three phases are completed, the distributor will receive $1,200 in free stock.
Is SeneGence One Of Those Pyramid Schemes?
SeneGence International is not a pyramid scheme or a scam. In a big market, they do have a strong product line.
In fact, they have plenty of other celebrity endorsements. Their extremely popular flagship product sets itself apart from the competition.
As a distributor, the compensation plan lays out a clear path to success.
All you really need is a good marketing plan to get started on your entrepreneurial journey.
But the big question here is, “Does it provide you with enough income?”
